Why run your own instance of statscloud?
Running your own instance of statscloud allows you to get even more out of the app, such as the ability to customise the UI, manage users, and integrate your own resources.
You can choose exactly how you'd like your instance of the app to be set up. We can either host a private instance of the app for you, or you can host an instance yourself on-premesis and maintain full control of the app and all your users' data.
We've designed statscloud to be fit for mass consumption so, regardless of which option you choose, you can always be sure that your instance will be able to serve all your users without disruption.

BASICFULLWhen you host your own version of statscloud, you're in full control of what your users can see and do in the app.
If you'd prefer your users to not have test assumptions checked automatically for them, for instance, or to have text summaries written for them, you can turn these features off.
You can also choose what options are selected by default, what statistical methods you'd prefer statscloud to use, or remove certain elements of the app entirely.

BASICFULLChoose exactly what you'd like your users to see on their dashboards and share pre-prepared variables, analyses, or even full projects they can access right from their home screen.
When you upload your own example data sets to your statscloud instance, they will appear for all of your users under the examples link in their home screen. You can also add your own templates for projects to help get your users set up easily with the projects you want them to.
Soon, we'll also offer you the opportunity to upload your own custom variables and analyses they can select when making their own projects.

Account management
Give your users the tools they need
FULLAll users have all the features of a PRO account, but you can give your users the power to do more by making them a MODERATOR (e.g., teacher, lecturer, or supervisor) or ADMIN user (e.g., technician).
In addition, all users can generate live share links to their projects that can be accessed by any other users on your instance.

Self-hosting

It's really easy to host statscloud at your school, college, or university.
The technical specifications for running statscloud are miniscule; you can host the whole app on a very basic setup. statscloud doesn't need to scale up with increased usage (e.g., it doesn't require a complicated Kubernates or Helm-chart setup) so you never need to worry about costs spiralling unpredictably: One instance of the app can serve many thousands of simultaneous users.
With your own self-hosted version of statscloud, you take full control of the app and full ownership of all your data. No sensitive data ever needs to leave your server or pass through any third-party platforms.
