statscloud is a modern, cross-platform statistics package that allows you to perform a range of statistical analysis common to a range of scientific disciplines. It was designed primarily to help teach statistics to students (of psychology and other sciences) but also provides a quick and easy way to run analyses for established, professional statisticians too. As a result, statscloud is gaining popularity rapidly and is already being used in many universities across the world.
statscloud has a unique and modern user-interface that makes statistical analyses much easier to run. Instead of overloading users with lots of options and tickboxes, an analysis in statscloud can be set up with a few simple clicks (or taps). All results are provided in interactive summaries; you can explore each analysis, tweak settings, customise charts, and view live formulas for each statistic.
Any of them! Unlike other statistics packages, statscloud was written in modern programming languages that can run on any device out-of-the-box, including smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, as well as desktops and laptops. statscloud is a Progressive Web App, which means you can install and run the app on any device you have and access it at wherever you are. The app will also update itself automatically and can function completely offline.
By default, none of your data is sent to the cloud. All statistical computations happen on your device so there's no reason to send any of your data to the cloud. Optionally, PRO users can cloud-save projects so they are accessible across multiple devices, but no data will ever leave your device without you being told.
You don't! statscloud is free and completely accessible to anyone at any time. If you'd like to host your own instance of statscloud, though, you can offer your users PRO accounts that allows you to store and sync multiple projects to the cloud so you can access them on any device at any time.
There are no restrictions on who can access the app and for how long. We have no idle-session limits, no session-length limits, and no analysis-timeout limits. There are also no limits to how many people can access the app at the same time, so you can be sure that statscloud will always be available to you and your users whenever you need it.
Yes, statscloud will always be a completely free service. We will never charge you to have access to its full library of charts and analyses, and will never charge you to have guaranteed, unlimited access to the app. statscloud.app and all of its current features will always be free and accessible to everyone.
Yes! We offer schools, colleges, universities, and businesses the option to host their own version of statscloud. In doing so, you'll have access to an administrator's dashboard that will allow you to add your own users and customise the app to your needs. You can also control exactly what will appear in your users' dashboards; you can provide your own data sets and example projects for them. You can even provide your own documentation too. For more information, see our Products page.
No, the demands of running an instance of statscloud are very small. If you would like to host an instance of statscloud, we can either provide you with all the tools you need to set this up yourself, or we can set it up for you on a bespoke server remotely. This can all be arranged for an annual fee, and we will ensure this is offered at a competitive rate. Visit our Products page or contact us to get set up.
It certainly is. By default, when you use statscloud, your data never leaves your device; it's not sent to a server for analysis, or stored anywhere other than your own device, even temporarily. Absolutely nothing about your project (the data or the analyses) is seen by anyone but you. For universities running an instance of statscloud, all user data will be stored on your own internal server so you're in complete control of all the data.
Yes, we designed statscloud to meet W3C accessibility standards right from the start, a pre-requsitive for the use of software in education, so it doesn't discriminate against those with accessibility needs. It is compatible with screen-readers and can be navigated with just a keyboard. We're constantly reviewing the app to make sure it is as accessible as possible and you can find all the latest updates on accessibility in our <a href=''../../../accessibility' target='_blank' rel='noreferrer'>accessibility statement.
Partly, and it will become more open source in the future. The app is completely open about the formulas it uses to calculate each statistic; you can view these by clicking on any statistic in a results table. Longer term, our intention is to open source the 'stats' component of statscloud fully so that anyone can view the raw code behind each analyses. We also intend to open source the documentation too so that those running their own instance of statscloud can 'fork' this and create their own documentation from this as they wish.
Our intention is to offer the most complete solution for teaching statistics in social sciences. As well as offering a statistics package that is free and always available for everyone, we intend to make statscloud a community-driven project where our users can extend the functionaity of statscloud. In the future, we will offer a hub where users can submit and share projects, custom variables, and even scripts for running custom analyses. statscloud is already establishing itself as the new standard in statistics software and these additions will help cement it as the go-to app for teaching statistics in social sciences.
That's exceptionally kind of you, but we wouldn't dream of asking for donations or sponsorships. We're motivated purely by creating a useful tool for teachers and researchers in statistics. We have a very solid and secure business model so it wouldn't be appropriate for us to ask for funding!
We'd love to get as many people aware of the app as possible, so we'd really appreciate it if you could tell people about statscloud and share the Twitter or Facebook pages with them. Otherwise, we're just glad to have you using the app. Thank you!
